Terms and license
These terms cover the Jasiri app and this website, provided by Ben Lester (“we”). By installing or using Jasiri you agree to them.
Free for individuals
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Jasiri on devices you own or control, at no charge. This includes using it for your own professional or freelance work.
When you need a license from us
Contact us first if you want to use Jasiri on behalf of a company or team, deploy it across an organization’s devices, or use it as part of paid work for a client where Jasiri itself is part of what you deliver. Email contact@benlester.me.
What you may not do
- Redistribute, resell, rent, or sublicense Jasiri, or host it for others to use as a service.
- Use Jasiri to build a competing product.
- Decompile, reverse engineer, or extract source code from Jasiri’s own code, except where the law allows it regardless of this clause.
- Remove notices, or use the Jasiri name or icon in a way that suggests we endorse you.
Third-party components inside Jasiri are licensed under their own terms, which are listed in the notices file published with each release. Nothing in these terms limits the rights those licenses give you.
You are in charge of the agent
The agent can run commands and create, change, and delete files inside Jasiri’s space on your phone, and use the clipboard. AI models make mistakes. You are responsible for what you ask it to do and for reviewing what it produces. Keep your own backups of anything important.
Your AI provider
Jasiri connects to an AI service you choose, using your key. That service is a separate agreement between you and the provider, including its fees and acceptable-use rules. We are not a party to it.
Updates and retirement of old versions
Jasiri checks for updates. We may retire an old version, for example for a security or compatibility reason, and ask you to update.
No warranty
Jasiri is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose. It is software that runs code on your device, and you use it at your own risk.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Jasiri. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Jasiri, which for the free version is zero.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using Jasiri after a change, you accept it. Paid features may be introduced later and would carry their own terms. Core use by individuals stays free.
